Education in Conflict and Emergencies Seminar series; UCL Institute of Education
How do social movements learn through their struggles for social change? What type of knowledge do they produced? In situations of conflict, repression and widespread human rights violations such as in southwest Colombia, how to social movements harness learning and knowledge in order to sustain, reproduce and strengthen their struggles? And how should academia relate to these processes and movements? This seminar reflects upon these questions by presenting some initial findings from our case study on social movements in southwest Colombia.
